Focus on Sight
1 in 4 children in the United States have a vision problem that affects their ability to learn. As a result, children with vision problems may miss important social cues necessary for positive social interaction with other children and adults. Positive social interaction and emotional awareness is important in a child's developmental growth, and leads to greater life satisfaction.
Our Focus On Sight program supports the awareness of good vision care with parents, teachers and other child advocates. We partner with vision care professionals to provide free vision exams and eyeglasses to children of families at or below poverty level without vision insurance.
Focus On Sight provides children with a foundation for successful learning for both school academics and creative arts. Children who qualify for the FOS program are also eligible to attend Focus on Love Foundations photo-emotion workshops at no cost.
Currently Focus On Sight vision care services are offered through Eye Care Associates of Charlotte.
